I am used to being shaded by other plants in my native environment, the rainforests.
However, when you get me home, remember to place me in bright but indirect sunlight, as too much direct sunlight harms my delicate leaves.
Moderate and frequent watering ensures my soil doesn’t dry completely. Avoid hard water or chlorinated water. Rainwater is the best.
I absolutely love humid conditions and thus thrive in kitchens and bathrooms!
A periodic misting of my leaves works wonders for my growth and keeps me happy too!
The dust on my leaves can be wiped with a damp soft cloth to maintain the natural sheen.
I am a friendly plant, considered non-toxic to humans, cats and dogs.

How can I fertilize the plant?
I benefit from a good general houseplant fertilizer every four weeks or so. This is especially important during the spring and summer, when I naturally grow a bit more. During winter, the growth slows down, so it can be avoided.
